TAILOR MAKE YOUR PERFECT DAY
When it comes to your special day, you want things to be just right. Music is a huge part of making your day memorable, and it's not a 'one size fits all' affair. Simon and the Archie Rye duo + trio have performed at hundreds of weddings over the years and have developed many different options to cater to your specific requirements and personal taste. We know how to make your day roll along effortlessly and provide the perfect musical atmosphere for you and your guests. Whether it's chilled out acoustic solo vibes, appropriate canapé and dinner music, or a full band sound to get the dance floor jumping, we can provide it all so that you can relax and have an amazing day.
A few questions to ask yourself before we get started:
What sort of music do you like?
What are the parts of your day would you like to have live music playing? E.g: Ceremony, canapés, during dinner and after dinner dancing.
What are the age brackets of your guests?
How many people will be attending?
What are the volume restrictions of the venue you have chosen?
Addressing all of these questions will help you make the best decisions to ensure your day runs smoothly. We're off to a great start, now lets begin to look at some options....
Simon solo
Having a solo musician at your wedding is a very popular choice. If you have chosen an intimate venue with volume restrictions, rest assured Simon can work within the limits and still provide a full sound. And if your venue is large and allows higher volume levels, perfect! He has a top of the line sound system to suit all scenarios.
Solo is a great choice for many different types of weddings from laid back dinner style music, to party songs that get everyone on the dance floor. Simon has an extensive repertoire to cover all of the songs you know and love ranging from the 60's to present. There's music in there for every age bracket. You can even tailor make your own set of songs from his list to add that personal touch. Alternatively, Simon is very adept at reading a room to provide the perfect musical atmosphere. You can be left with confidence knowing your music will be taken care of.
There are a variety of solo options available. You can choose any or all of these to suit your day:
Reception music - This covers dinner and dancing (anywhere up to a maximum of 5 x 45 min sets running over 5 hours). If you have a special song in mind for your first dance, just ask! If Simon doesn't already know it he can learn it for you. New songs to be learned are priced at $100 each.
Canapé music - Usually 1-2 hours of chilled out vibes for guests as your photography session takes place.
Ceremony music - Solo acoustic. Usually 20 minutes playing time for your guests as they wait for the bride to arrive. Plus a song played for walking down the isle, signing of the register and walking out of the ceremony. Simon can learn songs of your choice for the ceremony if he doesn't already know them. New songs to be learned are priced at $100 each. Alternatively, you can pick your ceremony songs from Simon's repertoire at no charge.

Duo
The Archie Rye duo can add a unique dynamic to your day. Simon and Jaime have performed at hundreds of weddings together for well over a decade so you can feel confident in being provided with a first class musical experience. They are available in various formats with an ever growing repertoire. Each format works great and can comply with venue volume limits, it all comes down to your personal preference:
GUITAR + PIANO: Available for reception only. This is a very musical format with the smooth sound of an electric grand piano combined with acoustic guitar. Fantastic for the dinner hour and can also be rocked up to get you and your guests out on that dance floor to end the night on a high point.
GUITAR + DRUMS: Available for reception only. This creates more of a band sound without the big set up. The drums can also be toned down during the dinner hour with the use of brush drum sticks to stay at a low volume. Great for getting the party started after dinner.
GUITAR + CONGAS: Available for canapés and reception. If you'd like more than just a soloist but your venue has strict volume limitations, this format gives a great full sound with a beat behind the guitar. This is also creates a great feel for the canapé hour by adding that extra element of percussion.
Hire Options:
Duo for Reception - This covers dinner and dancing music. Up to a maximum of 5 x 45 minute sets spanned over 5 hours. If you have a special song in mind for your first dance and they don't already know it they can learn it for you. New songs to learn are charged at $100 per song.
Duo for Canapés - Guitar + Congas format only. Usually 1-2 hours of good vibes for guests as your photography session takes place.
